100 Years Away *CD
Meagan Gipson's Debut Album! Inspired by her ancestors, including her great-great-grandmother, Ada Diefendorf-Bass, and diary entries she kept for fifty years about her life at the Grand Canyon. Ada, a musician herself, classically trained in piano and self-taught on violin, one of her own compositions, "Guy Quickstep," is a special feature track on the album, not heard in over 100 years.
Designed by Meagan, the full color booklet shares stories, credits, and visually introduces you to her ancestors that inspired the creation of Grand Canyon Project.™ The synthesis of past and present while traveling 100 Years Away! Pair this album with Debbie's book Stories the Canyon Keeps to enhance your journey into the past. Specific excerpts in the book are written to revolve around the music and lyrics of songs off the album. Ada, being a music teacher, classically trained in piano and self-taught on violin, she had composed a piece about her brother, Guy. Meagan brings in a string quartet to record a very special rendition of the song, "Guy Quickstep."
