Today, I'll introduce you to a rancher, expert horseman and miner, my great-grandfather, Bert Lauzon. He was also the fellow who joined the Kolb Brothers on their last leg of the Kolb Expedition. He later became a Deputy Sheriff and one of the first ten Park Rangers at the Grand Canyon.
Don't get much of a chance to read the paper nowadays... good thing my blog is bringing it right to ya! Reported in the paper was a little tidbit about a horse thief that came across Bert's path... check out the clipping.
Speaking of criminals... another who came across his path, who would later be escorted to prison by Bert, was that of the man in the mugshot. Bert came across his fair share of those who ran from the law... mostly right into his custody!
